Toltrin Turn Tool for Car Wars!

Ever wanted a turning key with a footprint on your board that is as thin as chipboard?
Now you have thanks to the Toltrin Turn Tool!
Here is a turning tool that you probably have not seen before for Car Wars.

You WILL need these kind of plastic hinges or it will not really work right.

Phase and crash wheel v5.0 for Car Wars!

OK, here is my Car Wars 5 phase and crash results wheel for up to 140 mph! If anyone wants the visio file, or a very large 0% compressed jpg, email me.
Well, here it is...

I printed this pre-print version on paper and then experimented with the dial.

My laminated final version. I made the text very small as I only had 6 degrees for each of the 28 slices dedicated to 15 HC results ... most were "safe" results (of course). In my next version I might make all the "safe" results one sold color block and have the HC only got to HC:1 as all the HC results above 1 are "safe". Funny how these things come to you after you made it!
I used a tie tack to put it together. Tie tacks are the bast for circular gaming tools like this.

Another shot from the side of my Car Wars tool.

Simple Car Wars blockade with chains 1" x 1/3"

Here is a doo-dad I made for Car Wars. It is a triple chain blockage that is 15 feet by 5 feet. The concrete blocks at the end of the chains will take 4 hits of damage and after 4 blasts with anything over 4 hits of damage will fail and the chains fall to the ground, at least on one end. The chains collectively need a ram damage of more than 15 hits to snap.
Also, here is a flame cloud, 15' x 7.5'

New natural curves for turning in Car Wars

SO, I was messing around with a new way to make the turning key for Car Wars. I thought that a smoother turning key would create a smoother game for 1/64th scale games I play now because of the plentiful supply of vehicles for this scale (Hot Wheels).
So here are the curves as they are right now in pre-production. I am thinking of creating a tool where it would look more like a Swiss army knife than a turning key.

A cool Car Wars turning key complete with distance traveled as per 15 feet / 10 mph / 1 second.

An interesting take on Overruns!

So, I printed up a hex that is 9 hexes wide (166 meters for each hex) which makes the play area have 25   seconds per turn.

You know you like my new bedsheets...

Here is my new top sheet for my bed:

You know you are jealous of my new top sheet. Now all I need are plushy OGREs! It's not just OGRE/GEV that I play on these types of maps. I have many Avalon hill games that are compatible! I even use my CRT dice with Anzio the board game

It cost me $20 +$5 shipping and handling.

A closer look of my CRT Dice version 6.5. They are so cool to use, not just for OGRE and OGRE/GEV but for other games that require an odds based semi-random tactical outcome.

A still closer look at my creations that allow
me to do more rolling and less referring to a chart...

About playing with other people's children...

You know those awesome summer days ... you want to go play with those cute kids of your neighbors. I play water balloon fights, Nerf gun fights and hide and go seek with the kids around my home. They are all under the age of 12 but for some reason I love playing fun game with them!
So, with all things there are rules. Here is a list of 12 rules I compiled concerning playing with other people's children. Now I do NOT mean playing with children of people you do now know. I am talking about playing with children where you KNOW their parents for a good long time (a few months perhaps?).
So, here we go:

Rules I follow with Children

1. Safety before fun.
2. All rules set by their parents will be followed.
3. The children in your presence will obey you in situations where their safety or the safety of others is concerned. If they do not comply, they will be asked to go home and the behavior reported to the parent or guardian
4. The parents’ or guardians’ permission is always obtained before any activities are commenced. The area(s) and duration is specifically obtained by the parent or guardian once permission is given.
5. The parent or guardian is contacted before any gift from you is revealed to the child.
6. When a child is hurt in any way, the parent or guardian is immediately contacted.
7. If a child's behavior is out of the norm, either positive or negative, the parent or guardian should be informed.
8. Profane humor or profanity is not permitted. There is so much humor that is not. Any profanity or profane humor will be reported to the parent or guardian.
9. Anything that could be used as a potential harming object will be removed for their safety. No exceptions. Should they not listen to you concerning their safety they should be asked to go home.
10. Every child in your presence will treat every other child with kindness and respect. Wrestling, pushing, pinning, punching or other suppressing physical behavior towards others should not be tolerated. Again, if they continue to do so, they will be asked to leave and their guardian or parent will be contacted about their behavior.
11. Unless a child is related to you, they will not enter your house or any enclosed structure with you without their parent, guardian or another trusted adult present.
12. When playing with children there is an another parent, guardian or trusted adult close by within speaking or visual distance. A parent or guardian may entrust you with their children for a specific period of time and within a specific area. A timer should be used to endure time is closely observed.

Observing their creativity and playing a small part in their childhood is an honor!

I usually print these rules out on cards and give them to parents and guardians. Every adult I give these to think these rules are very well written. A few parents have actually told me that this card gives them a peace of mind because I have thought so carefully about their children to create it!

Here is how an OGRE would move on a roll of the dice and what types of targets there are:
